Club Rose Bay Hotel

It’s a family-run hotel with friendly staff and good food. My room was clean, pleasant, and came with a balcony. I enjoyed staying here and would come back. They should keep it up and renovate things when needed.

The location is amazing, and the staff were trying to be helpful. Still, there wasn’t any customer service available at the facility at the time. I hope they get that sorted soon.

We arrived for our August 12-13, 2024 stay at Club Rose Bay Hotel and couldn’t get through to reception at any point because the phones didn’t work. The key we were first given had no locking mechanism, so we had to use a card to get into the room. There was dust on the tables, and the poolside toilet was closed because it hadn’t been cleaned. At the pool bar, the only drink available was Sprit, a Turkish liqueur. The beach was also in poor shape for swimming: a fishing shed stood on the right, the pier was rusty, and dried seaweed had piled up along the shore. Breakfast was meant to run from 9:00-11:00 AM, but at 10:00 AM it still hadn’t been set out, and the staff seemed to be just waking up. The restaurant floor and tables had trash and puddles of water, so we left without eating. When we raised these problems, management said they had only recently taken over and had four staff members, but didn’t offer a solution. I booked through Obilet and what we experienced didn’t match the services promised during booking. I paid 3,400 TL by credit card and want my complaint addressed and the payment refunded. The bathrooms were filthy, breakfast was disgraceful, and the pool was so inaccessible it might as well have been the Ganges River in India. There weren’t even towels in our room. When we asked, they said everything was occupied and the towels hadn’t been washed. We also weren’t given a room key. The man at reception tried to help, but every time we wanted to get back in, we had to go find him. They asked us to use a credit card instead of an electricity card, but that wasn’t available either. This place is in terrible condition and badly maintained. We were in a difficult spot and it had been recommended so we wouldn’t be left out in the cold. If you end up here, don’t bother. They canceled a room reserved next to ours so they could give it to someone they knew. Other people who arrived were put in different rooms, and guests were left in a bad situation. How can you send people who’ve come from out of town back after taking their money, just because you think you recognize them? That’s no way to run a business. I can’t blame the man at reception, since he’s an employee and tried his best. This is the first time I’ve written such a bad review. Really, don’t go.
