Hyatt House Gebze

A good hotel, though the rooms get much too warm. In winter, even in March, the default is 22 degrees and you can’t set the air-conditioning below 23. I had to sleep with the windows open to bring the temperature down.

The setting is more industrial than scenic, and anyone after nightlife or tourist sights will need to travel toward Istanbul. I also found the hotel restaurant’s food and drinks noticeably expensive next to local options, and the entrance security checks felt a bit excessive. For business travel or a longer visit, though, Hyatt House Gebze is a solid choice. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very clean, with suites offering kitchenettes so you can cook or work privately. The whole property, including the lobby, gym, and pool, feels fresh and well cared for. It’s right beside Gebze Center Mall, with restaurants, shops, and entertainment close by. Free parking and reliable Wi-Fi are useful, and the staff are professional, friendly, and consistently helpful. It offers dependable comfort and service for business or family stays.

I was here for an extended stay of 2 weeks and had a lovely time. I’d originally been booked at another hotel, but switched at the last minute because I was concerned about the AC. Klymet, my housekeeper, was lively and helpful. We couldn’t understand each other, but we still formed a special bond. In the restaurant, Emre was a steady presence, with fabulous English, and he was such a kind, respectful young man. I was always glad to see Uğur there too. Room service was quick and professional, and even traveling on my own, I never had anything to worry about. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and nice, and the food was divine. I didn’t have a single meal I disliked, especially breakfast. I’d absolutely stay here again if I return to Turkey.

The restaurant team gave us impeccable service, and we’re grateful for it. I only remember Ugur’s name because he had his nametag on. Across the hotel, the staff went above and beyond: the entrance guards, receptionists, technicians, and cleaning ladies were all professional, friendly, and ready to help. I spoke mostly with Rufan, Seydi, and Semih at reception, but the rest of the team were just as attentive and knowledgeable. Thank you for making our stay perfect.
