Elifim Resort Hotel

We were told at check-in that the pool, sauna, and steam rooms weren't working, though we could pay for a massage. When we later looked around the spa, everything appeared to be working. Breakfast was also a scramble, with about 100 schoolchildren all trying to get food. Coffee wasn't set out, so we had to track down a worker, who was very helpful once we found him. The housekeeping women did their best, and the women in the restaurant tried hard too. But the room problems were a lot: our first room had plenty of mold and mildew, and the replacement had less. They said the hotel was full, so that was that. Ventilation was inadequate, cooking onions could be smelled on the fourth floor at 6am, and the plumbing sounded like a waterfall in our room whenever the person above showered. The pillows were hard, it was hot, and the air conditioning was off. They weren't happy when we opened the window. This is a transit hotel for huge tour buses in an industrial park. If you're after a relaxing getaway, I'd stay away.

We got in very late, but the staff welcomed us warmly and prepared a hot dinner. The food portions were generous for both dinner and breakfast. We stayed one night before continuing on to Ankara.

The property seems modern, comfortable, and well equipped. Cleanliness, good service, and quality dining stand out, and the range of facilities could work for either a restful getaway or a practical business trip.

Honestly, the hotel was nice, and the staff were friendly and eager to help, though their English was limited. I felt pressured to leave a Google review. The staff waited until we'd finished writing and then clicked the 5 star button.
