Sari Keçi̇ Taş Otel

The bed was super comfortable, and everything was very clean. Some rooms have a stunning view, especially at sunrise and sunset; at night you can see a sky full of stars and sometimes a shooting star. I loved being surrounded by sheep, horses, and wild nature, including places that still feel untouched. The renovation also respected the building's history, which gives the hotel a special feel. Hakan looked after us so thoughtfully and always made sure we had what we needed. Just ask if you want something, and he’ll happily help with a smile. Mr. Emre, the owner, was attentive, responsive, and helpful too. Thanks to both of them, we felt at home. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and fresh. I could eat at 9:00 and still not feel hungry until 14:00! It's a little hidden gem on the island. There are several good restaurants just a few minutes' walk away in the village. We went in the off season, between the end of may and beginning of june, because we like places that are calm and not too turistic. We loved staying here and hope we can return one day.

Mr. Cemil and his wife, Mrs. Gülseren, made our holiday stay at this charming stone guesthouse especially nice. They gave each guest personal attention and are wonderful people. If we visit Gökçeada again next year, we’ll stay here.

We spent six very pleasant days at Sarı Keçi Taş Otel, and Mr. Mehmet’s friendly, attentive manner made us feel at home. We also want to thank Mr. Emre. The warm feel of Tepeköy’s establishments and the region’s distinct atmosphere made a great impression on us. The hotel is spacious and well placed for enjoying Tepeköy’s attractions. We’d gladly recommend it to anyone.

We’ll definitely choose Sarıkeçi again if we return to Gökçeada. It’s in Tepeköy, within walking distance of the island’s most remarkable Greek taverns, and the hotel is both charming and very welcoming. Mr. Emre helped us patiently with everything, from booking through the end of our stay, including directions, ferries, island conditions, location, and places to eat. Many thanks to him.
