Divan Bodrum Hotel

Breakfast was chaotic this year, with guests waiting for tables and the hostesses unable to seat people in an organized way. Housekeeping was disappointing too. One day, we had to ask at least three times before our room was cleaned. It seems the hotel only responds once someone complains, instead of staff coming up with solutions themselves. I’ve stayed at Divan every year for the past four years, and it used to be a great hotel with a lovely location and amazing service. This visit, our room wasn’t ready until 4:20 pm, even though check-in is normally at 2:00. We only got offered complimentary drinks after we complained about the wait. The attention to detail and quality have dropped a lot while the prices keep going up. Divan in Bodrum used to be one of my favorite hotels, but I don’t think I’ll return.

The part that needs work is the hotel’s cleaning. The setting and facilities were beautiful, but housekeeping didn’t meet expectations and should be brought up to the standard of the camp and the hotel’s reputation. I hope management addresses it before our next visit. We recently went to the Hub21 Summer Camp at Divan Bodrum, and my daughters, aged 8 and 5, had a fantastic time. The camp was very well organized, with fun activities that kept them happy and engaged. The staff were caring, attentive, and professional, so the children learned while having plenty of fun. Both girls came home with new skills, lovely memories, and new friends. It was rewarding for them and for us as parents. I’d recommend Hub21 Summer Camp to families looking for a creative, educational experience for their kids.

We came in mid June and had a lovely, stress-free time with the family. The service was kind and always came with a smile, and the food was delicious. Divan has an excellent kitchen. Friends recommended the hotel, and after some disappointing stays at vacation hotels on the southern coast, we were pleasantly surprised. We’ll be back.

When we raised the problems with the hostess, I explained that Divan is supposed to stand for quality and asked why our table was set that way. She called the waiter over, who told us they had no ice cream spoons. After all the conversation, we did end up with four napkins and proper ice cream spoons, but it was a really disheartening experience. We had stopped at Divan Turkbuku for dessert on Friday evening after dinner. It used to be known for quality, but that hasn’t been our experience lately. There were only three napkins for four people, two the same and one different. Two spoons had been put on one napkin, and of the four spoons we got, two didn’t match. The service was shockingly poor compared with what I’d experienced there before.
