Gayasis Resort Hotel

The bed was comfortable, parking was free, and breakfast was OK. The staff member who told us what had happened was also very apologetic and unusually honest about it. But we arrived after 9pm, tired from driving all day, and were told our advance booking had been cancelled because the hotel had taken a group reservation and overbooked. They said they'd tried to call, though our phones showed no missed calls and the gentleman couldn't say what number they'd called. We were also told the area was fully booked during the peak period, so we felt we had no choice but to take the one room available, a former office on the ground floor, offered at 33% less. That room had no working air conditioning, just one working bedroom light, broken TVs in the wardrobe, missing power sockets, a leaking toilet, and no holder for the shower head. Then at 3am an employee stood outside our room yelling into his phone. After half an hour we got up and asked him to keep it down. We visited in mid-June 2023. Book at your own risk, as you could turn up to find your reservation cancelled without warning. We're informing the local Zabata.

The rooms were clean and well kept, and the staff gave helpful information about the area once they understood what I was interested in. Breakfast had a healthy, generous selection of local food. I stayed seven days and came away feeling recharged from my busy, stressful life in Europe. The location is perfect, with plenty of privacy in and around the resort and tourist accommodation close by. In the morning, opening the balcony doors brought in the peaceful sound of the sea and that beautiful view. Thanks for the great service during my stay. We had great views of the Black Sea and woke up to the sound of waves crashing. The staff were friendly too. The rooms could use a little updating and care, but it was an economical option.

Breakfast was good. The staff weren't good, and the air conditioning didn't work properly. The rooms facing the road were terrible, with so much traffic noise that you couldn't sleep.
