Arif Cave Hotel

We stayed in the Panoramic Cave Room, which was fantastic. From the balcony we watched the balloons at sunrise and the sunset in the evening. The hotel sits just below the sunrise/sunset viewpoint, and its high position gives lovely views over Göreme and the surrounding landscape. The rooftop is beautifully arranged and great for photos. Breakfast was another highlight, with freshly made eggs, French toast, toasted bread, and plenty of other choices. I noticed the staff thoroughly cleaning the dining area before service, which showed how much care they put into guests' experience. One tip for visitors: mornings can be surprisingly cold, even in late May, so bring something warm if you're going to watch the balloons. This was the first of three hotels we stayed at on our late May 2026 Cappadocia trip, and it ended up being our clear favorite. Han welcomed us warmly and explained the tours, activities, and how weather might affect them. He offered honest, useful advice without hard-selling anything. The whole team was friendly and service-oriented, helped with our luggage, made us feel at home, and let us store our bags after checkout, which helped with our travel plans. Arif Cave Hotel was the only hotel on the trip that truly felt like home. The staff genuinely care, and I can see why it gets so many positive reviews.

Betty arranged everything smoothly for us, from airport pickup and drop-off to booking our hot air balloon ride. She was warm, responsive, and attentive, making the trip stress-free. At breakfast, Mr. Haan had a lovely way of making guests feel special, and the spread was fresh, hot, and delicious. Our cave room at Arif Cave Hotel was charming and comfortable, with breathtaking views from its elevated spot just a few minutes' walk from Sunset Point. This beautiful family-run hotel went out of its way to make us feel welcome and cared for. The hospitality was exceptional, and I highly recommend it.

The high location meant we could watch the balloons without leaving the hotel. There are lovely terraces and rooftop space for great photos and views. Our room felt authentic and was very clean, and breakfast had lots of options, a 10/10. They even made us breakfast for our early airport departure. The hotel and staff went above and beyond. We'd definitely stay again!

What made the room and view so special was the kindness of the people looking after me. Everything was kept clean, and even while I was unwell the staff showed me so much care. Their hospitality made it easy to feel at ease throughout my two-night stay. I was very grateful for all their help when I felt sick, especially for arranging a hospital visit. At checkout I was still unwell and didn't have cash, so I couldn't properly thank them then, and I left feeling bad about it. Once I had returned to Japan and recovered, I got in touch to say thank you. The team replied that I didn't need to send anything, that my kind heart was enough. Their valuing my feelings over money really moved me, and I still feel the warmth of that experience even back in Japan. Betty deserves special thanks for her exceptional support. She mentioned on our first day that I should return, and I hope to come back for five nights next time and thank everyone in person. Thank you so much again.
