The cave rooms are lovely, and breakfast was tasty with lots of choices. It’s only a short walk into town. Breakfast doesn’t begin until 8:30am, though, which seemed late when so many guests are up at 5am for the hot air balloons. I saw people waiting on the rooftop for the restaurant to open.

The sunrise balloons from the balcony and rooms were breathtaking, with some flying close over the hotel. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Max, the owner of Maccan Cave Hotel, was so gracious and incredible that we felt like princesses in a castle. He helped book great tours and his recommendations saved us a lot of money. We had an amazing stay and felt like we were at a 5-star hotel. Please visit Max and stay at the Maccan, you won’t be disappointed!

We were here for just one night, and everyone was SO NICE AND KIND, from reception to the kitchen staff. The staff made the traditional Turkish buffet breakfast fresh, and it was delicious, especially for a cheese-head like me. The rooftop view is incredible too, and if you get up early enough you can see the hot balloons.

We had a three-person room with plenty of space, even for a sofa. The hotel is right in the centre of Göreme, and it’s a perfect spot for watching the hot air balloons in the morning. Breakfast was nice, with lots of traditional choices, lovely bread each day, and different sweet treats. The service was really good too. 100% recommend!

Everyone at the hotel was kind, and we had a comfortable stay. There’s a carpeted section on the rooftop and a heart-shaped spot for photos. You can also walk into Goreme town.
