A good value budget stay, especially if you’re hiking or trying to keep costs down. The rooms are basic but perfectly fine, with comfortable beds and a good shower. Breakfast was good too, and the manager was very friendly and helpful.

We ended up staying just one night instead of two, mainly because the room didn’t have the AC we’d booked and we didn’t feel welcome. The hosts were busy cleaning and upgrading the property. The pool was excellent, very clean and well cared for, with a lovely mountain view behind it. The terrace and breakfast area were clean too. The room needed work: there were stains on the sheets and pillows, the furniture could use an upgrade, and the shower was falling apart and barely had hot water. There’s a lake about an hour’s walk away in the mountains. One thing to know is Kemer in general seems focused on Russian tourists. I’d skip it for Antalya or head to Kas.

We left after one night and left the city too. The room was a bit dirty overall, and the price didn’t feel justified. The bed linen had dark hairs and traces of what looked like body fluids. The air conditioner smelled like tinea. Service was okay, but they need to pay someone to clean properly. The city was full of russians and big hotels.

We didn’t get the room we booked: there were only two beds instead of three, and one room had no air conditioning. The toilet cabins were broken, the lamp covers were smashed, and the shower floors were moldy. Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I found Mina Grand Hotel online by chance and was glad I did. The staff were very friendly, it was easy to find with the maps.me app after downloading it, and there’s parking on site. The kids loved the pool, and I liked how its setting made it feel like a quiet village. During my 11 nights in August, everyone staying there understood that, because of Mr Covid-19, we shouldn’t all get into the pool at once. We gave each other 40 minutes to an hour to swim on hot sunny days, which felt like enough time before sunbathing by the pool while keeping our distance. The beach is a 10-minute walk, with shops all the way there so the walk doesn’t get boring. Göynük Canyons is three miles away, and I really enjoyed the two-kilometre walk from the entrance through to the canyons. Olympos Teleferik chair lift is a 20-minute drive, and Antalya is 40 minutes away. I went to Antalya for shopping and liked the Koton clothing shop, which has branches around the country and offers quality and value. Kemer is the hottest place in the whole country. McDonald’s is in Kemer, six miles or nine kilometres away, so you need a car if you love it. It was a good stay.
