We left the next morning and found somewhere else to stay. The hotel was disgusting and badly in need of work, and I honestly had a horrible experience. They wouldn't refund the remaining nights, though we were willing to pay for two days, and they cancelled our Booking.com reservation so we couldn't post a review there. I don't recommend it. Check the photos yourself. We booked in March because the pictures made it look like a nice place. It was advertised as beach-side with a private beach, but there is no beach. When we arrived at night, they told us the pool was closed for the off season, which we accepted. The room wasn't anything special: curtains were falling down, the walls had lots of defects, and the rusty bathroom smelled horrible. In the morning, construction was going on, the pool was black, every room's balcony had dirty mattresses, and the boardwalk was closed and looked ready to fall apart. When we raised this, all they said was that it was off season. If that's the case, they should close the hotel and get it into proper shape before guests arrive. The area isn't great, with little to do except walk along a small pier. Cars and trucks drive on it, so you have to watch out.

The food was simple but tasty, and felt worth the price. We ordered lunch, snacks and dinner à la carte, with enough variety for a pleasant stay. Staff were warm and personal, more like family than people just serving guests, and the grounds were kept tidy. Some complaints about room cleaning or small repairs may be fair, but they didn't stand out to me given the value and everything else. It's a peaceful spot for unwinding, right on its own private beach rather than across a road. There's a private pier and sunbeds for guests, which you don't often find. The location was incredibly quiet, with no noise or distractions. If you're hoping to switch off and recharge by the sea, I'd recommend it. Even if you're a bit picky, try to put that aside for a few days and enjoy the place.

Oscar Seaside Hotel & Spa is a convenient choice for a simple beach break. It's right on a private stretch of beachfront, with a nice sea breeze and views. Rooms have the basics and are comfortable enough, while the pool and spa offer a chance to relax. There are several food choices, including fresh seafood, and staff are generally friendly and helpful. Housekeeping and general upkeep could be better, but it's still a decent option for an enjoyable, uncomplicated seaside vacation.

We were shown two more rooms by staff, but both were just as disgusting. The beds and bathrooms were dirty everywhere, and the smell was awful. Our first room was mouldy and filthy, with conditions hard to describe, so we left straight away. This hotel is a disgrace and a complete fraud. Don't book here under any circumstances, you'll be very disappointed. Türkiye is much higher standard than this, and I feel sorry for people visiting for the first time who might think Bodrum is like this. They should shut the whole place down immediately.

The next morning the chef, still wearing the same winter jacket and jeans, offered me an omelette in an empty room. When I asked to see a menu, I was told there wasn't one, so I left without breakfast. Breakfast had been included. At about 10.20 pm, after all the water problems and not being able to shower, they offered a full refund if I wanted to leave. I left around 9 am the next morning and got no refund. There was no hot water all day after I arrived, until the following morning. Around 1 am, there was no hot or cold water at all. The economy double room had almost nothing in it: no bathroom amenities, kettle, cups or slippers, just two bottles of water, which I later used for washing. The Wi-Fi was so weak I couldn't use it. The restaurant was empty and silent, with two men in winter jackets and jeans smoking. One was the barman and didn't know what a latte was; the other was the chef. There was no breakfast menu or service. I also found out on arrival that the place I'd booked through Booking.com as "Club Aqarium Beach Hotel & Spa" had changed its name to "Oscar Seaside Hotel & Spa". Booking.com hadn't mentioned the change.
