The staff made us feel truly welcome and even helped arrange a trip to the Ihlara Valley. This was one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had, in a place with a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere and a lot of history. It’s a beautifully restored religious school. The rooms and common areas were spotlessly clean. Our room had high ceilings, stone walls, and plenty of space, and the bed and mattress were excellent. We slept well, and the room stayed warm without feeling stuffy. Breakfast and dinner were fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. A magical, authentic place. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something unforgettable.

A lovely discovery in Cappadocia. The hosts were super nice and offered us some salads and drinks. The food was tasty and freshly prepared, and the portions were quite big. If you happen to be in the area, stop by for a meal.

The Karballa Hotel Restaurant in Güzelyurt (Gelveri), between Aksaray and Ihlara, is a building worth seeing. We visited during our Cappadocia trip after being invited by family friends. We learned it had once been a gendarmerie outpost, then was renovated into a hotel, restaurant, and entertainment venue. Many thanks to everyone who worked to restore this historic building to its original state. Its history shows in every part and in its appearance.

Güzelyurt is a peaceful, small, lovely town, and we chose it as a base for visiting Ihlara and the surrounding area. Our stay here was very pleasant. The building has a lovely historic feel, the rooms are airy and spacious, and there’s a small garden. Breakfast and dinner were both very good, and the staff were attentive. We were very pleased, thank you.
