Thanos Hotel

A great spot for Turkish and international visitors alike, and the prices aren't excessive. The private beach is amazing, the bar and restaurant are just right, and there's live music most nights. Staff are wonderful. Rooms and cleaning are adequate.

The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioners were new and worked well, and the mini-fridge kept things cold. Parking was easy, and the hotel and surrounding area were quiet. The Wi-Fi sometimes dropped out, though it worked in both the room and on the beach. Almost all the guests had dogs, which could bother you if you don't like them. Thanks to the friendly woman at the entrance, too. There were serious problems with cleanliness and maintenance in our room. It hadn't been cleaned properly, and dead insects, flies, cockroaches and other bugs were on the floors and walls. I caught quite a few live spiders and cockroaches as well. The rooms smelled damp all the time, and the lighting was dim. We had two bathrooms, but one shower drain was completely blocked, so water collected and we couldn't use it. A bathroom door hinge had come loose from its mount and the door wouldn't close. The fixtures were rusty. You also have to request room cleaning separately. Breakfast was the same each day, and the pastries and other things shown in the photo weren't served. Items were often forgotten during breakfast, so we had to remind the staff, and they might still forget again. There was no free water in the room or at breakfast, and no complimentary Turkish coffee or similar service. Napkins and wet wipes might or might not be on the tables. The sea is rocky and gets deep quickly, which made swimming unpleasant. The beach is small, pebbly, and has reddish sand. Staff were lacking in many areas and didn't seem professional. I didn't eat at the restaurant, so I can't comment on it. We were given no information about the hotel at check-in. Then, two days after we arrived, we were told a large family had come and asked if we would move to a smaller room, even though we'd booked our room through the travel agency. I'd never had that happen before, and we refused. If it's your first time in the area, it could work for a short stay while you explore. For a small price difference, I'd suggest considering places like Glenn with a hotel and beach concept.

We were surrounded by greenery, with a lovely view and atmosphere, and it was wonderfully quiet right by the beach. The location was easy to find, about 15 minutes from the center, and it seemed suitable for children. My wife and I stayed two nights and were very happy with the comfortable, nice room. Our breakfast package was quite sufficient, and thanks to the Veito in the room we could get hot water whenever we wanted. The staff were especially sweet and friendly. It's a reliable hotel, and I'd recommend it.

We got there easily, getting off at the last stop in Hisarönü and walking less than a minute. In the evenings, they set up tables on the beach for dinner, which we really enjoyed. The food was delicious, especially the fish, and the rest of the menu was tasty too. The cocktails were good as well. It's a clean, peaceful place and a lovely spot to unwind. The welcome was excellent, and everyone was polite and attentive. The way into the sea is a little rocky, but the small stones weren't a problem.
