Faros Premium Beach Hotel

We were offered room 512 on arrival, and it looked nothing like the website photos. The next day, after viewing four other rooms, we chose one that was better than 512. Most of the rooms smelled bad, and some had water on the bathroom floor. The rooms and bathrooms need a major refurbishment. It’s a very old hotel, and I don’t understand the five-star reviews when it felt like a three-star place. Seeing cats in the restaurant was disgusting to me. There were also a few dogs on the beach, which isn’t private; anyone can use it, not just hotel guests. I suspect a lot of the glowing reviews come from people drinking alcohol nearly nonstop, and maybe that’s their idea of a fantastic holiday. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Save your money and find somewhere else.

The hotel is a bit dated in places, but it was clean. Our lovely room cleaner left a different towel pattern on the bed every day. Staff at the bars and restaurant were attentive, and the location was spot on, just steps from the beach. We also enjoyed the spa treatments and found the staff lovely. The food was good enough to eat every day during an all-inclusive holiday abroad. It isn’t the UK, so if that’s what you want every day, this may not suit you. If you want a nice holiday somewhere you’re looked after, it’s worth a try. Friendly cats and dogs sometimes come over for cuddles. That might put some people off, but you get them around many hotels, pubs and shops in Turkey. It won’t put us off. We love them and may come back.

Nina the manager is always friendly and polite whenever she sees you, and all the staff at this beautiful hotel are lovely. The food and drinks are all up to the best standards. There’s a private beach just a few steps away with lots of space and loungers. The pool also has plenty of sunbeds and private cubicles. It has everything you could need in a five-star hotel.

The staff and management worked hard to make the holiday enjoyable, and couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of food to choose from. The location was great, with a nice clean beach nearby and water sports a little farther along the beach. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.
