Losta Sahil Evi 2

The internet was consistently poor, which was surprising in 2024, especially for international guests without a local mobile plan. Another frustration was that tea came with breakfast but coffee cost extra. There was no free water in the rooms, and guests were discouraged from bringing food or drinks in, leaving the more expensive hotel purchases as the only option. Dinner prices varied, and some dishes were excellent while others disappointed. Drinks were priced about like elsewhere in the area, though alcohol felt somewhat expensive for Turkey's general price levels. The best part was the setting. Losta Sahil Evi is right by the sea in Selimiye, with a dock, loungers and umbrellas for hotel guests. In the evening, the dock becomes a restaurant. The sea was generally clean, though we did sometimes see litter from the many sailboats in the bay. Breakfast was outstanding, with plenty of choice and extras such as fried eggs available at no extra charge. I had planned to stay five days, but extended to seven because I enjoyed it. For the first five days I was at Losta Sahil Evi-2 in a sea-view room. Then I moved to Losta Sahil Evi-1, first to a partial sea-view room and then back to a room with a view for my final night. The rooms were fairly spacious and comfortable, though some minor upgrades would help. My last room smelled of sewage. The staff promptly apologized, but as it was my last night, there wasn't much to be done. The team, management and owners at Losta Sahil Evi-2 were incredibly friendly and helpful, and did a lot to make guests happy. Staff at Losta Sahil Evi-1 seemed somewhat indifferent, which was disappointing. My ratings were service 9/10 due to that indifference, breakfast 10/10 despite the coffee charge, cleanliness 10/10, restaurant 7/10, location 10/10, and room view 10/10 for rooms with a view. I highly recommend Losta Sahil Evi-2 for its service and beautiful location. Prices aren't the cheapest, but they reflect the setting and quality of service. I give the hotel 9/10 and thank the owners and staff for a pleasant stay.
