The friendly staff are keen to make sure you enjoy your holiday, and the cleaners kept our apartment immaculate, changing the towels daily. Sardunya apartments are well located in Icmeler, with local shops and restaurants close by and the beach about a 15-minute walk. We stayed for the first three weeks of April. The weather wasn't great at first, but by the last week the pool was warm enough to swim in. It is 1m 80cm deep throughout, with a small paddling pool at one end. The restaurant serves breakfast and familiar options such as pasta, pizza, and burgers during the day. Our apartment had a double bed and wardrobe with a safe inside, available for an extra fee. In the lounge there's a sofa and a pull-out extra bed underneath. That might suit young children, but four adults or teens would feel cramped. The cooking setup is basic, just one hob, no microwave or toaster, but it's enough if you plan to eat out most of the time. It's a good value, simple apartment stay, with the freedom to have the kind of holiday you want without the routine of a larger hotel.

We booked through On the Beach and arrived to find the hotel in a prime location, but the apartment we were given was awful. It was on the roof, and at 5'7 my head hit the ceiling. The manager asked for £35 for air conditioning, which we had to pay because it was 40 degrees outside. The bathroom was tiny, with no light except one above the basin. We offered to pay for a second apartment, but the manager refused, even though most of the apartments seemed empty. The next morning we found another room nearby, right next door, and it was 100 times better than Sardunya. My children loved the other apartment. I wish I'd taken pictures, but we didn't stay there and had no time to go back for any. I'd rather sleep in a tent than in that awful apartment. Who charges extra for air conditioning in the middle of summer?

We first went to Sardunya in August 2022. It was pretty new and quite disorganised, but we still had a great time, so we came back in June 2023 and have booked again for June 2024. The staff had changed by then, service was better, and there was more choice of food. This time there was nothing we could fault. Staff couldn't do enough for you, and rooms were cleaned daily. They're spacious, with a huge king-size bed, and air conditioning is reasonably priced compared with some hotels. We love how hassle-free it is. There's not much happening at night, but the location is good, just a short walk to the main drag. We'll be back in June 2024 ☺️

The place looked very different in person from the photos on the website. We stayed two nights and didn't have a good experience. Everything inside and out felt dated. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, and when we asked, reception said they don't provide it. There was only one blanket, the bathroom was very dark, the faucet was rusty, and the couch felt dirty. There wasn't a 'do not disturb' sign for the door, so housekeeping came into the room even though we didn't want them to. I wouldn't recommend this place.

It's lovely and quiet here, and the staff are friendly and lovely. The rooms are well equipped and have a TV, and they were cleaned every day. The pool is excellent and kept clean, with the pool man testing the water. The pool umbrellas and beds have been refurbished. It's a short walk to the main street for dining, or 15 to 20 minutes to the beach. I'm definitely coming back. I love it here.
