Club Sardinia

We went at the end of June with our two kids and all of us had a great time. Our bungalow had a big room that was cleaned every day, and there was lots of tasty food to choose from. The beach belonging to the hotel is small, but it was fine, and you can walk along the coast for a few kilometres. I really enjoyed our stay at Cocos.

The waiters were rude, and the cleanliness was appalling. The room, bathroom, cutlery, plates and floor were all dirty, worse than I’ve seen at any other hotel in my travels around the world. I’m 60 and have travelled a lot, so that says plenty. Compliments to the director. If you don’t want a bad holiday, stay away.

The kids’ club was the highlight for our little one and made the holiday much more fun. We also liked the private sandy beach and pool, and found the all-inclusive food and buffet satisfactory. Check-in was quick, the staff were professional and well mannered, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The standard rooms are a bit small, though.

The staff are the bright spot here and do their best to make things work. But there’s no English available, even at Reception, so I had to rely on Google Translate. It’s far from town and getting to Bodrum is expensive. Finding a sunbed by the pool or sea after 9 is very difficult, and the place didn’t feel clean, with many local tourists not respecting others. It used to have a theatre and daily activities, but now feels like a shadow of what it was. A very modest, old hotel that hasn’t been well maintained.
