The mansions have been restored and re-interpreted to reflect their original 18th-century Ottoman architecture and are named after the towns that are situated on the coast of the Golden Horn. With its elevated position on a hill named after the French novelist and naval officer Pierre Loti, in the district of Eyup, the hotel and its grounds afford magnificent views of the 7 hills on which Istanbul is built. Visitors will find a cable car and other public transport options close by. The restaurants look out over Istanbul, and the mantı I tried was nice. We barely ate there, though, since we spent so much time exploring. Getting around was easy too: the hotel is close to the T5 tram, a short ride down the Teleferik, with other public transport nearby. My partner and I had a lovely stay, helped by the kind receptionists and picturesque setting. There’s no laundry service, which could matter on a longer visit, but it didn’t bother us for a short one.

The room was cleaned daily, and the staff were friendly. I also found the view beautiful. But it was very hot inside, the curtains didn’t block the sun, and the AC was very bad. There’s no breakfast. The location stayed crowded, so it was hard to get any quiet, and although parking itself was fine, the road in was tight and busy. I didn’t like the hotel.

The rooms were clean and the price was acceptable, though breakfast wasn’t included. The air conditioning was very bad, and management didn’t listen to guests’ complaints. Its location at the top of Perlotti hill is very good.

The reception staff and the car park security deserve a special thank you. They were hardworking and dedicated, and staying there made it clear from the first day that the place offers a high standard. At first glance, it looks really old and historic, but it’s a nice place.

There are plenty of things around this family hotel, including restaurants, cafes, and a small pazzar or market. It has a beautiful view and is near the airport as well as other parts and sites in Istanbul. The decoration is very simple.
