Turn just inside the main entrance and you’re in a tucked-away little oasis, with art around every corner. It made staying in the city feel like a vacation. I’m glad we were recommended this hidden gem and got to discover it. I can’t wait for summer, when we can enjoy the garden and distant Bosphorus view while having a proper Italian dish.

Our room looked out over the Bosphorus, which made the stay feel even more special. Arbor has stylish, luxurious rooms that were very comfortable, and the food was delicious, high quality, and beautifully presented. The hotel itself is welcoming and lovely, with so much care put into the details. The staff were kind, attentive, and professional. We had a wonderful time and would gladly return. Highly recommended.

Arbor is a small place, with about 10 rooms, and it’s a great pick for a quiet boutique stay away from crowds. The staff were polite, friendly, and spoke English. We drove, so I can’t say much about public transport, though there’s a metro station about a 7-8 minute walk away. It’s on a hill on Istanbul’s Asian side, near the Bosphorus, so if you plan to cross to the European side, check how to pay bridge and tunnel fees. The hotel is new, modern, attractive, and very clean. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was thoughtfully designed to keep things from getting unnecessarily wet, and the towels smelled fresh and felt very soft. Breakfast was a generous Turkish spread with small daily changes, served at the table rather than from a buffet. It starts at 9, but staff might be able to arrange an earlier breakfast if you ask. Free room service is available, and there was a complimentary bowl of fruit in our room when we arrived. They leave six flat Nespresso capsules in each room and replenish them daily, which I really appreciated. Hotels often provide too few, charge for them, or only leave them the first morning. There’s quiet music in the garden. You can hear it if you go to bed early, but they turn it off at 10:30 pm and may lower the volume if you ask. We’ve just come back and were very pleased with our stay.
