Big Life Hotel

I left after just an hour. They’d given me a room under renovation with a door that wouldn’t lock. When I asked to move, the room they offered was dirty. I pointed that out, and they wanted another 900 TL for a cleaner one. A complete waste of money, and I was very disappointed.

The rooms were dusty and dirty, and I had to leave them straight away. I was also treated rudely as soon as I arrived because I didn’t have another document with me. The bed was awful, and there was a terrible smell in the elevator, corridor, and reception. When I complained about their mistakes, the staff just stood there looking me in the eye without any shame.

Two nights here were pure horror. There was noise all night, the room smelled awful and felt suffocating, and I found dead cockroaches. The sheets were greasy, and the one towel was damp and oily, like somebody had used it 15 minutes earlier. I can’t say I slept. Avoid this place.

For 400 Turkish lira, I thought it was worth it. In Istanbul, rooms at that price are usually much worse. This one was clean, really affordable, and I liked my stay.
