Casa Tua

I’d booked two months ahead, but when I texted on the day to change my check-in time, I was told they no longer worked with booking.com and couldn’t find my reservation. They hadn’t told booking.com about that, and I was nearly left without anywhere to stay in the middle of istanbul. Luckily, I found a last minute hotel in the same area. The man on the phone didn’t apologize. He offered to send me to his “better luxury hotel” in Sultanahmet, even after I explained I couldn’t afford a luxury place and had chosen Besiktas for a reason. He said I had no other option unless I wanted to spend the night with nowhere to stay. Such a rude response to their own mistake. I hadn’t paid through booking, so I cancelled right away. Don’t book here.

We felt at home here. The rooms were clean and smelled nice, and everything was close by in the well-known Beşiktaş area. The sea, cafes and restaurants were all nearby. We were really glad we stayed at this hotel.

The apartment was convenient, but there was no gas stove. I booked through Agoda and the owner never got in touch, so finding the place was difficult. My apartment was in a different building, at number 39. Another guest kindly helped me contact the owner.

This apartment building has 28 rooms, arranged across 7 bedrooms and 7 toilets.
