Gokce Pansiyon - Adult Only

I stayed at this guesthouse on my trip to Istanbul. The rooms look just as nice in person and were clean, as were the bathrooms and showers. Prices are very reasonable and budget-friendly. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The worker was so bad. I asked about staying for a month and was told they didn’t do monthly bookings, only daily ones at 750 TL, which would come to 22,000 TL! I went elsewhere on the same street and booked a better room for 8,000. Later, my Turkish friend called about the same room and was told it was available for 9,000 TL. What the heck? I really don’t recommend this place. It feels like they’re scamming foreigners, or maybe being racist. Either way, be careful.

It’s the lowest price in Istanbul, and the staff are friendly. The toilets get cleaned several times a day, but they’re still really smelly and run-down. People smoke everywhere, in rooms, corridors, on the stairs, and in the bathrooms. The smoke gets under the doors. It’s impossible to breathe.

The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, and they give you fresh bath towels every day. The location is good and easy enough to figure out. Breakfast isn’t included in the daily price, though there’s a dining area where you can bring your own food and eat.
