We stayed for two weeks and felt really comfortable. The shower was amazing, and the family who runs the place was so caring. Ismael (Smile) and his parents made sure we were settled and know the area well, having been there for 25 years. It’s a lovely little hotel, suited to a couple, two people, or someone traveling alone. Taskim Square is just around the corner, and you can walk to lots of places. There are coffee shops close by, plenty of Hammam's, and ubers. People around there were friendly. The area is very hilly, with some steep slopes, so keep that in mind. We loved staying with locals in a spot that also has a tourist feel. Thanks to Smile and family for a pleasant stay!

We were able to leave our luggage with them for 10 hours after checkout, which was really helpful. It’s a family business with very friendly, nice people, close to Taksim square, about 150 meters away. The prices were affordable too.

We were very happy with our stay at Gokotta suites. It’s a clean, quiet, family-run hotel, and the owner was kind and helpful. Istikal street is about a 10-minute walk away, and Galata tower is within walking distance too. There are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby. We’d definitely recommend it to family and friends visiting Istanbul.

We stayed for three nights, but the place they put us in wasn’t the hotel I had booked, and it felt like we’d been scammed. We were charged the rate for a more expensive hotel but ended up in a much cheaper one. I’d booked Taksim BrickTown Suite and got a WhatsApp message confirming it, along with the location. Then the booking was canceled. When I asked why, they said the room was still available but claimed there was a problem with their payment machine and asked us to pay in cash. They got my contact details from the online booking, and the whole thing felt misleading and dishonest. Very disappointing.
