The room and hallway reeked of cigarettes, the Wi-Fi barely worked, and the room door didn't feel secure. I also heard a couple arguing loudly next door through the very thin walls. As a woman traveling alone, I felt unsafe, so I left without staying the night and arranged somewhere else. The hotel refused a refund after I explained why. I booked at short notice after changing countries and relied on the reviews, so I don't understand the high ratings from solo travelers. Maybe many were men traveling alone, which is a different experience. The location didn't feel particularly safe to me. There are better places nearby for the price and location. I'd put safety first and wouldn't recommend staying here in Istanbul.

The price is quite reasonable, and the location is great. They clean the rooms daily, and the service was okay. My room was small, though, and the Wi-Fi was slow. If your window faces the seafront, expect plenty of noise, and sound carries between rooms too. Some rooms I stayed in smelled of cigarettes. I think someone may have smoked nearby, perhaps a staff member or guest, and the odor was coming through the bathroom ventilation. Staff couldn't do anything about it.

Getting around from here was easy, and the location is good. We spent two nights there; the room and sheets were clean. When the bathroom doorknob gave us trouble, they fixed it straight away. A very good hotel, and I recommend it.

There's free tea in the lobby, and the reception staff are polite and helpful. Communication can be tricky, but a translation app does the job. The hotel is decent and in a great location.

It's a basic, pleasant hotel in a very crowded spot. The noise goes on around the clock, though that's not really the hotel's fault. The area feels crowded and dirty, but the location has its upside: the ferry is five minutes away, and there are hundreds of cafes for breakfast or dinner. The staff are nice. Wi-Fi is unreliable and very poor, so if you need internet for work, get a 4G SIM card. You get what you pay for.
