We kept the curtains closed because the view looked out over a courtyard full of garbage. Inside, though, everything was clean, and the bed and shower were good. Our smallest room was tiny and had a low ceiling, but it was still comfortable. Reception was great, and our friendly, helpful host suggested some good nearby restaurants.

It felt like staying at a friend's place, with a warm welcome and a clean, comfortable home-like apartment. The building has been renovated, and the service was impeccable. Everyone was cheerful and smiling, and quick to help with anything, even things that had nothing to do with the apartment.

The apartment was clean and basic, and close to Taksim square and a taxis park, but a lot of the little things that make a stay comfortable were missing. I hadn't expected to haul my cases up spiral stairs to a third-floor apartment. We also noticed an opening on the TV that looked suspiciously like a camera. We couldn't be sure, but felt wary enough to cover it with a scarf for our two-day stay. My friend, an "Airbnb expert," had insisted we try one in Istanbul. Next time I think I'll stick with hotels. We'd planned from the start to enjoy the trip, and we did.

We stayed at Green Apartment in Jan 2018. The owner was the standout, always smiling and very helpful. The location was perfect, and the interior was nicely decorated, though the neighborhood was average and the bedroom felt a bit gloomy.

The neighborhood gets a bit noisy, but evenings on the rooftop balcony are priceless. Everything else worked fine, though 2 of the 4 AC-s were broken.
