La Casa de Hotel

My same-day booking was last minute, and La Casa De Hotel took it without any trouble. The staff were helpful and welcoming from the start, and the clean, well-kept room had the basics I needed, including a fridge, hot and cold shower, and a room warmer for cooler evenings. After a day out exploring Istanbul, it was a cozy place to come back to, and I felt at home there. I had a fantastic stay and would return. If you need somewhere comfortable, reliable, and affordable in the city, I’d recommend La Casa De Hotel.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and reception replies to questions very quickly through messaging apps. One odd thing: for a nice business, there’s no landline number for reception. The mobile number shown in Maps is personal, so people feel awkward calling it every time.

The room felt homelike and was clean, and the location is great. The bathroom was nice, but it started smelling bad in the morning. There’s no breakfast, and the place costs 200 TL, while hotels with elevators charge 170 to 190. It’s newly built, with four floors and no elevator. Ventilation was a bit of an issue too, though the AC can help with that.

I first booked just one night to see whether I liked the place. It’s a cute hotel, and the receptionist I met then was good. I explained I might stay for a week, a month, or even two, and was told that would be fine. After I’d been away for two weeks, I came back and explained the same thing again. This time a different receptionist told me to leave because the room I’d been staying in for a month had online reservations. There’s also no phone in the hotel to contact reception. I’ll write about some other things too.
