The friendly staff were polite and helpful, and the WiFi was fine. The bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and some of the fixtures looked nice, though they were starting to show wear. The location was convenient for the metro, with plenty of food, drink and shopping nearby. There were several things that could be better. The room had no view, as expected, and the air conditioning didn't fully work. The TV picture was only average, its cabinet was loose, the shower fittings were coming away from the wall, and the bed needs replacing. The walls were thin, so we heard other guests, and we could smell people smoking in their rooms. The door key didn't always work. There was no cleaning or towel replacement during the trip. I originally booked five nights but cut the trip to four. The manager wouldn't refund the unused night, though they offered a free room if I return. For the price, the standard was what I expected. Changes to the smoking and noise policy, along with some updates, could improve the rating. It was an average stay, and I'll leave a review on booking.com.

Everything was just right. The room looked exactly like the photos and was very clean, and the hotel smelled lovely. The location is central, near both the metro and Marmaray. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed 11 days in the “penthouse suite,” and the room was frightening to sleep in. It smelled awful, had mold on the walls, and ants everywhere. We kept our luggage on the table and spent the days sightseeing just to avoid going back. At first they blamed the ants on previous guests eating in the room, then said ants come in when it's cold outside. The only response from the front desk was to vacuum the area. They didn't offer another room until an ant crawled up my leg while I was asleep. That was enough, so I packed the next morning and said I was checking out early. Only then did they decide to “help.” This was unacceptable, and I want a refund. Booking.com and my credit card company have been notified. Update: I'm replying to the response to my Booking.com review. The one laundry service we requested cost 500 lira, about $13, not $60. We made no restaurant orders, so the claim of $120 in orders is false. They didn't “upgrade” us, they moved us to the next room available, which was a downgrade from the most expensive room in the hotel. Saying it was “at no charge” makes no sense. They also did not pay Booking.com back 260€, as I confirmed with them. We did not leave happy. I argued with staff over all the false information. We never said we'd left the hotel. We packed our bags and wanted to walk out, but staff stopped us, insisted we stay and said we'd get a partial refund. Those promises were lies too.

The staff were really sweet, and I felt safe travelling alone during my lovely 10 day stay. If you're picky about your accommodation, this might not be the place for you.
