For just one or two nights, it’s okay for the price. The rooms are small but clean, and the staff are nice and accommodating. It’s close to the airport, though a bit far from the city center. The shower was the biggest problem. The water was so weak that I ended up washing with the faucet instead. You can also hear people talking in other rooms, and it gets loud. You get what you pay for, but that shower really needs fixing.
The cats hanging out in the lobby were a fun surprise. I booked at the last minute through Agoda without any trouble, and the room was comfortable enough, with a heated bathroom floor. It’s near the airport and they have their own shuttle to get you back quickly. Worked well for my long layover.
The staff were really kind and helpful, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. It’s in a handy spot near the airport, and their affordable shuttle to Sabiha airport made things easy. Pretty nice place for a long layover.
I was only in Istanbul for one night between trips, but had a really lovely stay. The location worked perfectly, and my room was comfortable and clean. The staff were especially friendly and ready to help. I’d happily recommend it.
Warning, this hotel double-books. On February 14th 2026, Kaya hotel refused to check me in because, they said, there were no rooms and there was a payment issue. They told me to leave. A week earlier, I’d received confirmation of my Kaya hotel booking from Booking.com. It mentioned a payment issue and said I could pay on arrival. Staff then told me they had sent messages that I hadn’t answered, so they gave my room to someone else. I’d booked while I was in Europe, and later had no email access while physically in Russia. I only got an official cancellation email from Booking.com after I’d already left. I was very sick, didn’t speak the local language, and had neither a local SIM card nor internet access. No one offered any help. Places nearby were unavailable, and I had to ask three times before staff ordered a taxi. I also had to insist that I be allowed to use their Wi-Fi and wait in the lobby while looking for somewhere else, with the risk of spending the night on the street. I’d stayed at Kaya before because it was cheaper, though it had never been a particularly pleasant place. After this, I’ll never use their service again. Managers should know how incompetent and unprofessional reception was. The woman handling my check-in couldn’t manage the program by herself and kept asking a colleague for help, holding up the queue. She also kept serving other clients while she was supposed to be sorting out my problem, and her manners were poor. The service was awful, with complete indifference to guests’ needs and interests. I strongly don’t recommend it to international travellers. Pay 20e more or sleep at the airport, it’ll be less stressful. If something goes wrong, they’ll leave you on your own at best. If you’re too polite to stand up for yourself, they might just kick you out. I travel a lot, and this was the worst experience I’ve had in Turkey so far. One nice thing is the cats wandering around the hotel. I’m not sure whether the website mentions them, so a heads-up for anyone with allergies.
