The room was boiling, with no air conditioning, so sleeping was impossible. There was no Wi-Fi either, and the TV was in Turkish and unusable without it. The worst five-star hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

The gym’s hours were inconvenient, open only from 10 AM to 10 PM, so there was no early workout option. The room’s towel had mold, and the bed sheets were dirty. When I arrived, the air conditioner wasn’t working. Nobody at reception spoke English then, so I waited about an hour for it to be fixed while exhausted from traveling. I asked to switch rooms, and the new key card unexpectedly opened a different, random room, which made me worry about security. It was an unpleasant stay from start to finish, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel.

This was our first trip to Istanbul, and we enjoyed our stay here. DMC Balkans arranged everything for us. The hotel was very nice, with a pleasant room and a great breakfast.

The restaurant was a nice spot to watch football or have coffee, and if we didn’t feel like staying there, they brought what we needed to our room. The kitchen was excellent, and the hotel and rooms were beautiful and clean. Most of all, the staff were friendly with guests and gave us quality service. Thank you to the MAYI hotel staff, and to the caffe pesonal. I’m very satisfied and highly recommend the MAYI hotel.
