MONCHER Hotel

The room looked nothing like the photos and wasn’t clean. There were food bits on the wallpaper, dirty linen, and a squeaky bed frame. The mattress was sponge-like, worse than IKEA. We got to the hotel after midnight, exhausted from a long flight, and didn’t want to deal with asking for another room that late.

The only thing that worked well was the water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was awful every day, with cheap food and hot dishes that were cold every time. The front desk staff were incredibly rude and didn’t want to help an English-speaking tourist. Management was defensive and seemed unaware of the hotel’s problems. I never had a good hot breakfast, and the staff’s disgustingly rude attitude made the stay worse. Would I stay again? Never!

I needed somewhere peaceful to recover after surgery in Turkey, and this was a lovely choice. The room was spacious, bright, immaculate, and had really comfortable beds. I felt safe, and the staff were so kind and helpful. They even brought takeout to my room when I ordered it. Breakfast was fresh with a nice selection, and it felt like great value for what you get. Just up the road, I found very cheap local supermarkets and food shops. I didn’t explore the area much beyond that, so can’t say more. I’m very happy with my stay and would recommend booking here. The staff deserve a pay rise!

The staff stood out during our two-night stay. They were kind, friendly, and ready to help whenever we needed anything. When we needed a Turkish phone number to order takeaway, they used their own phones and even suggested better choices. Their English was much better than at other places we visited in Turkey, which made things more comfortable. The room was in great shape and smelled fresh, and the hotel was very clean, with an elegant, welcoming lobby. We had a great experience. Binlerce teşekkürler
