The cigarette smell was really strong, and the whole place felt dirty, rundown, and nothing like the pictures. I won't come back. The neighborhood looks poor and feels very different from Taksim, even though the place is close to Taksim square. It's down a steep hill behind narrow allies, which would be very hard for elderly people to walk up and down. Kids played outside the building until 1-2 am, they buzzed around 2 am, and cats behind the building mewed until morning. There was a big pile of trash behind the building, and the window on that side was broken. The washroom was filthy. The flush cap was broken, so you had to press two bolts to flush, and the shower head was broken too, meaning you had to hold it yourself. There was no soap, and the bottle had a famous brand name, but the shampoo inside felt like cheap fake stuff. The stove top and towel warmer were very rusty, and there was hardly any kitchenware, all of it very old.

Bugs were crawling on the table, and the soul was broken. They cleaned the room before we had released it and threw away our belongings. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, even with the excellent location!

The apartment itself was really good, but the owner was disrespectful. When we extended the stay, he charged us double, even though we only stayed half a day, until night.
