Petros Boutique Hotel

Our hotel was clean and spacious, though the staff seemed a little cold when we asked questions. The main issue came on our first night: roadwork began at midnight, shaking the whole building. It was extremely loud and went on for half an hour. It would've helped to get a heads-up from the hotel, ideally when we booked.

Getting around by public transport was easy, and the hotel was very clean. I booked a room only, but coffee, tea, biscuits, and cereal were complimentary for all guests. Mr. Lutfu and Mr. Mahmut were both lovely and helpful. I'll definitely return.

The staff's care and competence make up for what the hotel lacks in luxury and amenities. It's clean and safe, and the part of town is really cool. Walking to Taksum Square, the main shopping drag, Galata tower, and the bridge is easy, and the big attractions are accessible too. If budget matters, it's worth a look. For an above average or luxurious hotel experience, it may not be high on your list. Most of the pictures are of the neighborhood, which is what makes the place worthwhile to me. Shout-out to the concierge. A hot tip: put away the map apps and just ask them.

It's near the Omer Hayyem bus stand, so getting around the city is easy. The rooms are good, the price feels fair, and housekeeping looked after them well during our stay. The hotel offers morning coffee and biscuits, but I'd suggest the restaurant across the street. The area is noisy, with clubs and people out partying all night. They do provide earplugs, but that noise is why I'm taking off a star.
