Point Hotel Barbaros

Our wedding banquet in the elegant, beautifully arranged hall felt magical, and the service team were attentive without hovering. They smiled, anticipated what we needed, and treated us warmly from the moment we arrived. Özge Hanım and the event coordination team made planning smooth and stress-free. Room service and the hotel's customer service were excellent too.

There’s plenty to do at the hotel in January, with a spa, gym, pool, and game area. We love how beautiful and well managed it is, and the location is excellent. The breakfast buffet is the best I’ve experienced, and the service is excellent.

The breakfast was horrendous and gave me indigestion, and the hotel felt more like a hospital than a place to stay. Doctors were walking around, and some people in the breakfast area had bags of blood hanging from their clothes or bloody scalps. Bon appetit! This is nowhere near a five-star hotel. Staff were distant and unhelpful, promising things they didn't deliver or even try to fix. Everything seemed to come with a hidden charge. I paid 55 euros to wash eight pairs of socks, which was unbelievable. My room smelled of tobacco at random times, as if someone nearby in the hotel was smoking, and noise from other rooms carried through at night. The design and hotel felt incredibly outdated. The telephone made noises during the night, interrupting sleep, and the privacy button would randomly stop working and make noise too. The shampoo and soap were terrible, and I had to ask three times for everything.

What made our stay at Point Hotel special was the people. Naciye from housekeeping was always smiling and sweet, and her warm, positive presence brightened our days. She took wonderful care of our room and went beyond what we'd normally expect. Sadık at reception was calm and professional during my husband's sudden allergy emergency. He gave us the right medication, arranged an urgent taxi to the ER, and spoke with the nurses to help make sure we were looked after. That made a frightening situation easier to get through. We were there for a medical procedure, and our clean, comfortable room had a lovely view. Reception staff were generally kind and ready to help with questions. Room service took two or three calls, but eventually brought everything we needed, and they never refused our requests. We'd happily return and recommend the hotel for its nice view, cleanliness, and caring team.
