Ramada Encore by Wyndham Istanbul Bayrampasa

We generally felt very welcome and enjoyed our family stay. The concierge arranged tours and taxis when we needed them, and someone even helped move our bags from the taxi and up to our rooms after check-in. The four of us had two rooms, each with two single beds, and everything was neat and tidy. Arzu, Aman/Alan, Ivan, and the rest of housekeeping did a great job cleaning daily. Reception and dining staff were kind and hospitable, and Nevzalat, the manager, was always smiling and welcoming as we came into the dining room. Breakfast was nice, especially the chocolate vanilla marble cake. I didn’t care for getting the same soup at breakfast that had been served for dinner the night before. There was also an evening buffet, along with an à la carte menu.

Celal went out of his way to help me get a portable computer and a meeting room for a very important Zoom meeting. They’ll do what they can to get you what you need here. Great hotel, and I’ll definitely come back when I’m in Istanbul.

The meal I liked best was breakfast, though the choices weren’t very appealing, and the coffee was the worst I’ve tried. Lunch had even fewer options, such as pasta, meatballs, and vegetables; dinner was whatever hadn’t been eaten at lunch. The food was very bad, and I can’t imagine paying 4 star prices for it. This might once have been a 4 star hotel, but now it seems to stay open because Turkish Airlines gives rooms to people with delayed flights. Our room was big and mostly clean, with just some hair on a towel. The location is poor, far from both the airport and the parts of the city most visitors would want to see, although there’s a mall nearby. There are worse places to spend a night waiting for a flight, but otherwise I don’t see a reason to stay.

Ahmet, the Vale, was very friendly, and all the staff were helpful. Calling a taxi or getting something from the restaurant was quick, and the food was fresh every day. We stayed at Ramada encore for a week with my daughter and husband, and were happy with how clean everything was. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Istanbul. Thanks to everyone here, and especially Ahmet. We’ll definitely be back ♥️
