Sel Suite Hotel

The room was clean and perfectly fine, though housekeeping seemed to happen whenever, and the first-floor rooms by reception get noisy in the morning. The bigger issue came before checkout. The owner, or receptionist, said the streets would be closed overnight because the president was visiting Istanbul and only certain taxis could get through. He offered to arrange one for 2000₺ to IST. We didn't buy it, and booked an Uber ahead of time. It cost less and felt easier and safer. In the end, none of the roads were blocked. It was shocking to feel like the hotel was trying to scam its own guests.

We hardly dealt with reception, and I don't think there's any food offered. The location worked well enough for us, but we're not coming back. The room looked like it could be decent, yet it was very dirty. There were little hairs and marks on the sheets, and the dirt was throughout the room. The towels weren't fully dry either, and people talking could be heard all the time. Such a shame, since it mainly needed a thorough clean, done every day.

The rooms were clean, right in the center, and the service was 10/10. Staff were really nice, friendly, and helpful. I was very happy with their service.

We spent six days at Sel suites and had a wonderful stay. Mr. Seif was especially helpful and speaks several languages: English, Arabic, Turkish, and Spanish. I look forward to coming back because of him.
