Taksim Landhouse Hotel

The hotel offered free cancellation or a new date, but that didn’t make up for the stress and disruption. I had booked April 27-28 well in advance, then shortly before arrival they said they were “urgently renovating” and couldn’t host my reservation. The timing made the explanation feel questionable and unprofessional. Cancelling a confirmed stay at the last minute is stressful when travel plans are set and other places may be limited or cost more. I expect accommodation providers to plan properly and be transparent. Future travelers should think carefully before booking, since a reservation may not be as secure as expected.

The location was convenient, and I loved the calm atmosphere. My room was spotless, nicely designed, comfortable, and had a great view of the mosque. Ata went above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. The service stayed warm and professional throughout. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Being close to Taksim Square and İstiklal Street made it easy to walk around, find food and use public transport, and major Istanbul attractions were easy to reach too. The room preparation needs work: there was hair on the floor on day one, and cleaning was inconsistent. Some basics were missing, including toothbrushes and body wash, and instead of a tissue box they provided kitchen towels. The location is a real plus, but cleanliness, amenities, comfort and noise control could all be better.

Our room had a lovely view over a mosque, and inside the building it was comfortable, with plenty of space, cozy beds and a small kitchenette we didn’t use. The exterior doesn’t give much away. Taksim Landhouse Hotel is right in the heart of Istanbul, just a 2-minute walk from the metro, so it was easy to get to the iconic sights. Reception staff were incredibly kind and ready to help. I stayed in April 2025 and had a perfect experience. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Istanbul.
