Taksim Red Suite

The owner was very nice, and the water in the shower was hot. The place is very close to Taksim square, but there’s no regular reception, so you need to call the number when you arrive. There are lots of narrow stairs and no elevator. We were on the fourth floor. The floor was badly warped, and the room wasn’t very clean. The bathroom smelled strongly of sewage, so badly that using it made me gag. The owner poured chemicals in, which covered the smell for only a few hours. It was still dirty, with a pubic hair on the toilet bowl, a cracked toilet seat, peeling paint on the shower wall, and a shower door hanging off. The surrounding area is run down, with burnt-out and half-destroyed buildings everywhere.
