WestSide Residences by Rotana

There were 11 of us in the group, and we had a lovely time. Breakfast had loads of choice. The whole staff were great, especially Ahmet and Suleyman, who took extra good care of us. I’d recommend it to everyone.

Mall of Istanbul is right next door, which made the location really convenient. The hotel was clean, modern, and organized to a high standard, with a five-star feel. We’d booked a standard double room but were upgraded to an apartment with a separate bedroom, living room, and kitchen at the same price. Such a nice surprise! Elif, Can and Büsra were all so kind, respectful, and helpful. Their warm, professional manner made our stay feel perfect. We highly recommend the hotel and will definitely return. Thank you all!

The hotel is neat and everything else felt up to a high standard. The lobby receptionists were kind and helpful. But this morning at breakfast, a woman on staff with pimples holding the POS terminal called out “HEY” to tell me breakfast wasn’t included. I understood I had to pay, but that was a rude way to address a guest. I was disappointed and hope the hotel gives its staff better training.

The restaurant staff were the one bright spot, but the rest of this stay was very disappointing and didn’t feel like the Rotana brand. Reception was unprofessional and ignored requests, including a delay in returning my car key. The room was in poor shape: the washing machine, iron, and safe didn’t work, and the sheets were dirty. There was a strong sewage smell in the corridors, calls were answered extremely slowly, and the baby cot arrived at midnight after repeated follow-ups. I wouldn’t recommend it.
