Gocebe Kamp & Bungalov

This was our first bungalow holiday, and we had a lovely time as a family. Everything was clean, and whenever we called, they answered and put my worries to rest. Thanks for all the hard work. I’d happily recommend this place.

The garden and lakeside kept the kids busy for ages, and the olive groves made the setting feel lovely. There were plenty of flies outdoors, but they’d taken care of the problem inside, so we slept comfortably. The owners were warm and helpful, and the house had little basics like tea, coffee, oil, and salt. We stayed on September 22nd with our two young children and their grandparents. I’d chosen the place because of the pool awning, and being able to cover it meant the children and I could play in the water for hours without getting cold. We all loved it and would gladly return. You don’t have to head to the mountains of Kas or Fethiye to find a family-friendly pool stay. This is a lovely spot by the lake, surrounded by olive groves. ❤️

We planned three days away with my aunts and chose a nomadic bungalow. The main problem was how we were spoken to. A young woman, around 21 or 22 and apparently the owner, was rude from the start. We’d brought coffee and pastries because we hadn’t eaten breakfast, and while we were having them by the lake, she told us outside food and drinks weren’t allowed. There was no sign about that, and her tone was unpleasant. Later, around the 2 PM check-in time, my family sat down for just five minutes to rest before heading out again. She spoke disrespectfully to a 53-year-old man and said something along the lines of, “Give us your ID or leave the bungalow.” When we said we’d complain, she got more aggressive. A little kindness would have gone a long way. Things did escalate, and when she challenged my tone, I answered in the same way she’d spoken to us. I don’t know if that’s what it takes to make her understand how she sounds. After that, it felt as if we were being punished. Trash from the other bungalows was collected for all three days, but ours wasn’t. We’d put our trash in the green bin outside, and I have video evidence. I also found dust and dead insects under the beds when we were leaving, plus moldy bread in the kitchen drawers. I reported these things to you. The issue isn’t only the lack of hospitality, and saying we were asked to leave after resting for five minutes doesn’t answer all the problems. Whether you stay is up to you.

The only part of the trip I enjoyed was being there with people I like. The location deserves four stars from me, but the rest was below average: no friendliness, attention, cleanliness, or respect. We had to put our own blankets on the outdoor seats just to sit down, and the experience was awful for what we paid. We weren’t trying to bring in more than four people. Our relatives were tired from carrying the luggage and only wanted to sit for five minutes. Yes, you warned us, and my wife came by and we had a video call, but we weren’t there to camp. The surroundings looked clean; I just wish the bungalow interiors had been cleaner too. A bit more courtesy would have saved us from writing these reviews. Think twice before going. 👎👎👎
