The location was a plus, close to the beachfront, easy to find, and there was parking behind the hotel. We went at the end of summer, so finding a space wasn’t a problem. The local restaurants were pricey and aimed more at tourists, so we drove to Kaş for dinner. I booked after liking the reviews and the look of the place, but our first room was disappointing. There were hairs in the bed and under the pillows, heavy dust around the furniture, a wet cigarette in the bin, and dirty cups and fridge. The receptionist called the cleaner, who didn’t seem surprised, and kindly upgraded us. The new room had a balcony and was better, though still not fully clean. The aircon remote didn’t match the unit either, so we had to ask for another one. Neither my partner, who isn’t fussy, nor I enjoyed the breakfast. We wouldn’t stay here again.

For a good price in a very central part of Kalkan, this is a solid option. The rooftop is lovely for sunsets and drinks, with beautiful views, and the breakfast was excellent. A bottle of wine was 725 tl, which felt pretty fair. Everyone working there was really nice and helpful, and we loved the pet cats. The hotel is dated and could use some updates. Our shower leaked a lot because the bottom seal didn’t meet properly, even after we tried to seal it with a Matt. There are also big, somewhat annoying nightclubs nearby. They didn’t bother us much, but light sleepers might find them noisy.

We planned a week but left after three days because this was the noisiest hotel I’ve stayed in. Two nightclubs are just one street away, with music going past 2am, and the rooftop restaurant meant people were walking by our room, talking and slamming doors all morning. The terrace views are amazing, but breakfast was very basic, just bread, eggs, and salad, and the bathroom was tiny. It’s a shame, given how highly rated it was.

Okan took such good care of us and made a huge breakfast with fresh omelette, coffee, cheeses, warm bread, juice, and more. Our clean, comfortable room had a balcony overlooking the sea and a lovely outlook. It was quiet too. We’d have stayed longer, and definitely recommend it.

The location was excellent, with free parking nearby, good Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. We had a sea-view room with a balcony and a nice stay. The room could use a bit of updating. I’d return, though I’d skip the on-site Indian restaurant, the food was very bland.
