Aquarius Hotel

The hotel’s location is gorgeous, and the pool and beach access looked wonderful. The staff were also kind, helpful, and accommodating given the situation. But we booked two nights at the Aquarius and ended up leaving without staying because the rooms were extremely cramped and unclean. There wasn’t space to open a suitcase, and the bathroom was maybe four square feet. You couldn’t stand in the shower without your back against the glass. Maybe the end of a busy season affected our experience, but we’d booked based on all the glowing reviews and were very disappointed.

The spot is the hotel’s biggest draw: it sits at the tip of the peninsula with direct access to the Mediterranean Sea. The staff were consistently kind and attentive, and when we arrived late at night, everyone was welcoming and spoke English, which helped a lot. We enjoyed a week here. Our room was clean and nicely presented, and room service brought fresh towels daily. Breakfast was a beachside buffet from 8 to 10 a.m., with local food and some continental options. There was an à la carte menu through the day, and dinner ran from 7 to 9 p.m. The selection was lovely, and the ingredients came fresh from the Kaş market. Kaş town is about a 20-minute shuttle ride away. We rented a car for a few days to visit Xanthos, Myra, and Patara Beach. You can get there by shuttle too, but the car made the journeys much faster. Aquarius Hotel was a great choice, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it. We’ll definitely return.

It’s quiet, the views are lovely, and you can get straight into the sea, so the location may be the best on the peninsula. The rest didn’t stand out. Breakfast was repetitive, while the other food and the bar menu were too simple and expensive. At least Zayka restaurant is nearby, with exceptional food at affordable prices. It might get boring for a family holiday. Wi-Fi across the property was awful and kept cutting out.

The staff were unbelievably helpful, and they even let us check in early. Breakfast was served each morning beside the Mediterranean, and I had the pool to myself most of the time. Everything about this magical place felt exceptional. It was the cleanest place I’ve ever stayed, and I felt like I’d won the lottery. I loved this gloriously beautiful hotel!
