Elixir Boutique Hotel

We only had an afternoon here while waiting for our flight, which was a shame because it was such a lovely place. The food was amazing, and the staff were so attentive and friendly. Thanks, Hotel Elixir xxxx

We stopped in for lunch while staying nearby. The bread, chicken kebab and salad were all amazing. Our children's two chicken nugget portions arrived about ten minutes after the other mains, and the chicken inside was raw. Thankfully, the kids always cut theirs open to check. The staff quickly replaced them with excellent chicken kebabs and gave us complimentary desserts. The pizza oven, bar and swimming pool looked unreal.

The walk into the old town was lovely, though there are a few hills on the way. It’s about 800 metres from the hotel. We spent six nights here and would happily come back. The team were kind from the moment we arrived, and even made us dinner in the wood fired oven after the kitchen had closed. Breakfast was delicious every day, with fresh Turkish salads that varied from day to day and bread baked in the wood oven each morning. Our room was spacious, with clean bedding and towels every day. We didn’t use the balcony hot-tub, but the balcony and its soft seating were great. It was a quiet week, so there was no trouble finding a late afternoon pool bed, and the pool was lovely for swimming. We also had a wood fired pizza on our first night.

The hotel is a short, easy 10-15 minute walk into town, with lots of restaurants around the very touristy harbour. The area felt friendly. I loved the poolside cabanna sun beds, so comfortable and luxurious, and there were plenty of little corners among the plants and flowers to sit in. The pool area was gorgeous, while the building had a slightly rustic charm. The bar had a snooker table and a big TV, and the football being on a couple of times made for lively evenings. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and quiet air conditioning at night. The staff were lovely and looked after us well. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, mostly traditional Turkish food as well as fruit and pancakes. A delightful hotel.
