Kuytu Pansiyon

The location of Kuytu Pansiyon is central and convenient, but there are better places for a similar price. Our room was small and dated, and missing even basic things like slippers and a glass. The AC worked, and there was hot water, though the shower head was faulty. There was no proper blanket or duvet with fresh covers. We got an unclean bedspread, and the sheet was torn. We'd booked a balcony room, but the area was more like a shared entrance, not private, and guests without a balcony booking could access it too. There was nobody at reception when we arrived, so someone explained the room location by phone. We didn't try breakfast, so I can't comment on it.

The stairs are steep and narrow, and loud music carries on until midnight. Breakfast choices were limited. The location is convenient, but I'd look at other places to stay.

The couple who run the place are lovely and hospitable, and put a lot of heart into it. Breakfast on the terrace is excellent, with a view across the whole city. The rooms are tiny, and the bathroom doors don't close properly. Some windows face nightclubs where the music is extra loud until 2 am. We had to keep the windows shut and run the aircon all night, and after a couple of days that actually made me sick.

I had a great stay. The terrace has a great view, and breakfast was well balanced with everything you need. The staff were super friendly and helped with any problems.
