Medusa Bar & Camping - Hostel

I only spent one night at Medusa, but the welcome made it feel like I’d been there much longer. The owner drove me to Kilic, then took me and his friend out for kebab and over to the dune. I barely knew him and was already being treated like family. It’s a really chill place, and I wish I could’ve stayed longer. He speaks French too! (Mathis / Ediz)

It felt like home at Medusa, so I ended up adding a few extra nights on the spot. New Year’s was a special time there, and I’d recommend staying even in winter. The rooms and facilities were clean, and if you need anything, Pamir is open-minded and easy to talk to. After a long, exhausting day of hiking, my friend and I were welcomed so warmly. We shared great food with the owner and his friends and discovered some great music on Medusa’s playlist. Çok teşekkür ederim! Tekrar görüşmek üzere!

Pamir is always around to help sort out any problem, and Medusa Camping is easily the best affordable option in Patara. It’s also well placed for exploring: the ancient city’s archeological site is close by, the beautiful 8 km beach is easy to reach, and you can take a bus to see the surrounding area. The bungalows are spacious and lovely, and there’s a fully equipped shared kitchen for making meals and snacks. I also liked the big pub in the campsite garden.

The bungalow was comfortable, and breakfast was generous enough to be worth the extra few bucks. Thanks, Pamir and Ozan! Bring mosquito spray 😋 haha
