Medusa Hotel

We stayed four nights at Medusa Beach Hotel and could easily have stayed four more. Its location is a big plus, about a seven-minute walk from the town square, and you get access to a private beach club during the day. The beach club is the main draw for me: clear blue water, service right to your lounger or cabana, and direct access for a swim when you want to cool down. They serve good meals too, just ask for the menu. There’s also a great pool and guest parking. Our room was on the small side, though not the smallest I’ve seen, and was nicely furnished. We had a balcony with a partial sea view, which suited us fine since we didn’t spend much time in the room. Breakfast was delicious Turkish style, with salads, olives, several cheeses, cold meats, scrambled and boiled eggs, mezzes, bread, coffee, tea, cereal, fruit and yogurt. The photos I took here show a regular breakfast service. Special thanks to the staff, who were friendly and very professional.

We stopped by for the day to use the beach club. Usually you have to spend 700TL per person, but since it was low season they said a couple of drinks would be fine. The service was great, the cocktails were amazing, and we caught the sunset too!!!

There’s no sand here, but that didn’t spoil the experience for us. The breakfast was splendid, and our room’s side view of the sea was functional. We mostly used the room just to shower and sleep. The beach chairs are included with your stay, and there’s a bar/kitchen on the “dock.” Kaş looks especially beautiful by the Mediterranean, and being so close to the water makes it even better. Pro tip: visit the blue cave nearby Kaş ;) there’s a lovely beach next to it.

The best view was from the Medusa beach platform, which reaches farther out over the water than its neighbors. You can get drinks and food there, and towels are provided, so grab one and save your beach spot for later. Breakfast also comes with a big selection and a fantastic sea view. We had a very comfortable stay. Our room was quiet, roomy and exceptionally clean, with daily turnover, comfortable beds and pillows, a new-looking bathroom, a side sea view and two balconies where we could dry clothes. The minibar was well stocked if needed, and bottled water was refreshed daily. The air conditioning worked really well and cooled the room quickly, though it switches off when you take the key card out. It gets warm between floors, but the steps to each landing weren’t difficult, and an outdoor elevator serves the hotel’s second level for rooms. Lockers for valuables are available to rent. It’s an easy walk to everything in Kaş without tackling the town’s steep slope. Parking is available on both sides of the street in front. The standards are high, and the friendly, helpful staff work incredibly hard. The hotel was still for sale during our visit, but you wouldn’t have guessed. This was the most comfortable beach vacation we’ve had, and the first time we weren’t ready to head home.
