For a low-cost stay while exploring the area and escaping big-city noise, this place in beautiful Patara worked really well for us. We paid just 20 euros a night with breakfast included, which felt like a very good deal given how much prices in Turkey have gone up. The rooms are clean, and you get quiet, nature and a village feel, plus kind owners, as is usual in Patara. It’s a few minutes on foot to restaurants and markets with affordable prices. The sand dunes are a 27-minute walk away, if your legs are up for it. Don’t expect luxury, but I’d recommend staying here.

We were there in April 2022, before the city was really ready for tourists, and the warm welcome here made a big difference. The room was clean and had what we needed, and 250 a night without breakfast was a great price. It also came through for us on the Lycian Way. The comfort was better than what the nearby campgrounds offering rooms could provide for the price.

I paid 112 tl and ended up staying for three nights, so the value was really good. The rooms are clean and roomy, with an ensuite bathroom, fridge, balcony and good wifi, and breakfast was a nice Turkish spread. I’m pretty sure I stayed here 30 years ago, and the quality hasn’t gone downhill since.

Breakfast was included in the affordable rate, and it was both filling and nicely prepared. Sülo Pension is a small place of about 10 rooms, run by a friendly older couple and their family. It sits on a hill about a five-minute walk from the village centre. Rooms are sparkling clean, with a bathroom, fridge, AC and mosquito nets, though there aren’t many mosquitoes. Some rooms open onto a spacious terrace. If you’re walking, the quieter part of Patara beach is about 30 minutes away along a dirt road, and the owners can point you the way.
