Anna and Erdem made us feel so welcome, and we had a wonderful time at Villa Dündar. The garden, pool, and view are all lovely and well looked after, with plenty of room to relax. After a few days they even let us move to a slightly bigger place without charging extra. Erdem and his brother Ergun also run a business offering boat tours to tourists. Thanks for everything, we really enjoyed our stay.

Captain Erdem helped us arrange a place to stay in Kaş before and after our one-week boat trip at the end of July, along with airport and marina transfers. He booked us an apartment at Villa Dundar, and the whole arrangement went smoothly. A lovely woman met us and showed us to the apartment on the 3rd floor. Carrying the bags up was quite a workout, but the balcony view made it worth it. She offered to help, and when we said we'd manage, she still insisted on carrying our daughters' smaller bags. She walked us through the two-bedroom apartment and explained how everything worked. We later learned she was Captain Erdem's mother-in-law, which made her warm welcome feel even more personal. The apartment was spotless, with fresh sheets and a firm bed that suited my back. It had everything you'd expect for a holiday, though we only stayed one night on either side of the boat trip and didn't use much of it. The showers are a little low for anyone 190cm or taller. My family was fine, but I found them a bit challenging. On Friday evening the local taxi station wasn't answering because demand was high. I called Captain Erdem, and a taxi turned up about five minutes later. I don't know how he managed it, but he saved us. We'd first contacted him just about the boat trip, yet he quietly took care of the accommodation, transfers, and even taxis, without trying to sell us anything extra. Communication was simple and efficient. We're already planning to return next year. Many thanks to Captain Erdem and his team for making it all so easy.

We had such a good stay. It was peaceful and welcoming, and the lovely couple hosting us did everything they could to make us comfortable. The beach is just 5-7 minutes away, with a few places to eat nearby. Our room had all the equipment we needed, so we made breakfast and enjoyed it outside. It felt warm and accommodating. UPDATE: Erdem sent me threatening messages and posted fake negative reviews on my business profile in retaliation. I've filed complaints with Google and the Turkish authorities. Be careful. Kaş was the last stop on our trip through Türkiye, after 15 different accommodations, and we had hoped to finish on a high note. Instead, we spent our stay waiting to leave. We arrived in 35°C heat with two young children. The woman who greeted us spoke Ukrainian only, so we had to communicate through a phone translation app. We speak both Turkish and English, but neither language worked for her, which made even basic conversations difficult. She told us not to drink the tap water. Everywhere else on our trip had offered complimentary bottled water, but there was none here, not even a jug in the fridge. A laminated notice said we could buy a 15-litre container for €15-20. With no shops nearby, we had to get back in the car in the heat to find water. That evening, we tried to cook for the children and found the stove wasn't working. The gas bottle wasn't working (You need to turn a physical bottle and off), and nobody answered the assistance numbers. My husband eventually found the woman downstairs. She said she didn't know what to do and called Anna, one of the owners. Not long after, Anna's husband Erdem called. I explained that the stove didn't work and that we couldn't communicate in Turkish or English. He got very defensive and called me “weird” and “strange” for expecting those things, including being able to speak with someone in the national language. He told me, “If you don’t like it, pack up and leave,” at 8pm, while our two children were distressed. Anna brought a replacement gas bottle shortly afterward. About ten minutes later she came back to say Erdem wanted a list of all my complaints. I said I'd talk to her once the children were settled. She respected that and left. There were other problems too. The listing said there was a washing machine, but there wasn't one. Low sloping ceilings in the attic made the kitchen and dining area awkward, and the showers were cramped. The pool looked murky. The nearest shop was 2.5km away, with hills along the way, so walking there with children wasn't realistic. The cleaner was the one bright spot. She went out of her way to help and even offered to wash our clothes for free because the listed amenities were missing. Her kindness was a sharp contrast to the owners' attitude. Kaş is worth a visit, but we wouldn't stay at this property in its current state. We left disappointed and frustrated, and won't be coming back.
