We had a lovely 12-day stay. Vicky and Burcin were really nice and attentive, and made sure the cottages and grounds stayed clean. A maid cleaned the house while we were out on day trips. The place feels secluded and private, even with people staying in the other cottage. There’s a lovely pool surrounded by greenery, and the location is peaceful. The horse stables are nearby, so you can see the horses on the walk into town if you like them.

It’s our last day after a week at the Fig Garden Cottage, and we hate to leave this peaceful, almost heavenly spot. It feels as if time has stopped. The house looked like a movie set to me, something like "A Good Year" with George Clooney in the title role. Our hosts, Burcin and Vicky, were incredibly kind and tactful. The pool and surrounding greenery felt like a hidden oasis in the jungle. Kavköy sits high on the plain, about midway and equidistant between Fethiye and Oludeniz, so it makes an ideal base for beaches and exploring. There are plenty of good village restaurants serving authentic local food. You can visit the ghost village, and I’d definitely take the new lift to the area’s highest peak, Babadag. The sunsets from up there are captivating and magnificent. It’s also known as one of the world’s biggest paragliding centers.

This was our second visit, and it still felt like a secret hideaway. Such a gem if you want peace and quiet. Vicky and Burcin are great, very helpful hosts, and the welcome pack was lovely. We had a memorable holiday.
