Makri Otel

I slept well in a comfortable, well-equipped room, and everything was clean and tidy. The amenities met my expectations. The pool was another highlight, clean and well maintained, and a great place to unwind. WiFi was reliable and fast, so I could stay connected and get some work done. The hotel is a little farther from the main attractions, but the quiet, charming neighborhood made up for it. If a short commute doesn’t bother you, it’s a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay, and I’d recommend it.

We weren’t blown away, but it was good value and I’d recommend it for a quick stay. The rooms are fine, if a little dated, and breakfast is basic. The staff were friendly, and the family who run the hotel were pleasant and happy to help with anything we needed. Nothing was wrong with the place, but nothing felt especially special either.

The rooms were simple but had what we needed, and the pool was refreshing. There wasn’t daily housekeeping. The village is quaint, and there’s a great hike through the Ghost Town to the Blue Lagoon.

You can ask them to do your laundry, and each room has a balcony with a rail for drying clothes. The showers are new, with hot water and good pressure. It’s a family-run place with lovely hosts. Their son guided us on the trails, and their father drove us to the beach and cooked dinner over an open flame. Order dinner in the morning so they can buy everything fresh. The lamb chops were the best, and the fish was amazing too. Cold beer as well!
