Kaf Mount Erci̇yes

We'd planned to stay two nights, but left after the first one. The toilets in the rooms were very old, and the seating areas needed decent sofas. There wasn't even seating outside. Instead of spending on influencer advertising, the hotel should fix those things. We were there at 11, but were told check-in wasn't until 2. A group of friends got in early because one of them was an influencer. When we raised it, they apologized and let us into our rooms. On the night we stayed, there was entertainment, and lots of men without female companions were allowed in. Security told men entering without women they could pay 1000 TL to get in. I was there with my wife, and as a woman I felt extremely uncomfortable. We asked for chips, and the man just ripped open the packet and put it in front of us instead of serving them in a container. It was awful, and there was clear customer discrimination. Don't be taken in by the nice location, low price, or fun atmosphere. This felt like a complete money trap.

The hotel's social area was comfortable, with games, and we played Okey in the evenings. The hotel is right by the slopes, just 10-15 steps from the entrance, with ski pass rental options nearby. It's uncrowded and seems like a good choice for skiing or snowboarding. When we arrived, we were told our room would be ready at 10:10 AM. We weren't entitled to breakfast that first day, but they let us have it anyway. Many thanks to Mr. Murat. The breakfast and dinner choices were both sufficient and delicious. The hotel was very clean, and each day they checked whether we needed room cleaning, water, or anything else. I think it's worth the money.

There's plenty of space in the rooms, and they're clean, not cramped. The food is delicious, and the pilgrims' gate and equipment rental places are right next door. With so many hotels in the other area, gondola queues form there, so staying here is more convenient. They even provide a dental kit, which made this three-star hotel feel like a five-star one to us. The lobby has board games and card games too. This is our new hotel.

The rooms are nice, clean, and new, and there is a ski room, though the lockers aren't heated. The cleaner checked in daily to ask if anything was missing or if we needed anything, which was nice, even though they clean without being asked. The food was excellent, with a wide selection for a hotel this size. I asked and learned the chef was Mr. Telat. It's a small hotel, so it's easy to get to know other guests. The main problem is getting to the other ski areas when Hacılar is closed. We were only able to ski four days of our week-long holiday, and on the days we could ski, Hacılar was shut. We had to take a taxi to the Tekir Develi slope, which cost 850 TL each way. The hotel has no shuttle. When Hacılar is closed but the other slopes are open, they should arrange transport. Guests were all trying to find taxis and having trouble. Waiting and paying for a taxi to reach the area where the other hotels are is really unpleasant, and the hotel didn't address it. The hotel is at Hacılar Gate, beside its slope, which connects to other slopes. The main hotels are by Develi and Tekir Gates. Hacılar is on the eastern side of the mountains and, as I understand it, is the first slope to close when the wind picks up, which seems to happen often in Erciyes. The location is good when the slope is open. Apart from the shuttle issue, the hotel is adequate. I think fixing that matters more than bringing in influencers.
