Fidan Park Hotel

The room was spotless, and I was surprised to find a prayer mat already waiting in the drawer after I brought mine along. They’d also provided a wool sign to help locate the qibla.

The location was cold when I arrived in winter, and the natural gas wasn’t working. I checked in that morning, paid, slept for three hours, and left. I waited an hour for someone to show up, then called the owner, Fatih. He said there was no natural gas and that it would be back in half an hour, so I waited another hour. Nobody came, and he stopped answering my calls. Downstairs, I asked Luca where the employee was and got no answer. When I said I was leaving because the situation was disgraceful, the employee at Luca agreed and said I’d get my dollars back the next day. I went to explain what happened, but Fatih said he didn’t have to tell me whether the natural gas was on and refused to refund me. We found out the hotel was at fault. I told him this wasn’t humane and left, asking God to find him.

The location is nice and the rooms were clean. The guy at the entrance was attentive, but the service otherwise fell short. There wasn’t anything in the rooms for making tea or coffee. Breakfast was included, but he may have overslept, since nobody was at reception. We left the keys on the table and went out for soup 😊

My room was quiet and had good wifi, and the place seemed recently renovated or very new. The welcome was great and the location excellent. A couple of things didn’t work properly, but it was still great value for money.
